必要なのは雨と太陽２／Bucketful of Potatoes!

前回のブログでも書いたとおり、今週末はジャガイモを収穫してみた。
ジャガイモの葉っぱが枯れてしばらくした頃が収穫時期と言われていたので、枯れた葉っぱの下、とりあえずスコップで慎重に掘って見ると、地表からそれほど深くない、５センチ〜１０センチくらいの所にゴロゴロと大きなジャガイモが！
お店で見るような普通のジャガイモがたくさん出て来た。
1部だけ掘るつもりが、どんどん出てくるのが面白くて、結局2列あるうちの1列すべてを掘ってしまった。多分大小取り混ぜて５０個位にはなってたかも。。。
掘り終わった後は汗だくで、しんどかったけど、充実感。

その他なすやシシトウも元気に育ってた。
今週末はまた残りのジャガイモを掘って、他の野菜も収穫する予定。

This weekend, I dug out a lot of potatoes as they were ready to come out. 
It was first time to do it myself, so I was really excited to see how it is growing in the soil.
As I dug, I kept finding just regular potatoes you see in the store more and more. 
I started to have so much fun finding them, so I ended up getting half of what we have in the garden.  I think there were more than 50 potatoes, mix of big and small ones. I got a bucketful of potatoes!!
All the potatoes look healthy and sound :)
I am ready to get more of potatoes and some other veges, like eggplant and peppers this coming weekend.
