すっかり初夏も過ぎ、梅雨入りし、気温も連日20度を超えて、半そでで過ごす日が多くなってきました。

そんな恩恵を受けてたくさんの植物がめきめきと育っていますが、我が家のバジルも目を見張るような成長っぷりです。

今年の2月に、「ペットマト」という、ペットボトルで簡単に栽培できる栽培キットを頂き、4月に種まきをしてみました。

自分で準備するのはペットボトルと水だけで、種や盛り土、すべてそろっている優れものです。

これで本当に野菜が育つのか・・・？　

半信半疑で種をまき、成長を待ちました。　

種まきのころはまだ寒い日も続いていましたが、一度芽をだし、暖かい日が多くなるとグングン成長し、この2，3週間で収穫できるようになりました。

実家の畑でも経験済みだけど、野菜は一度育って時期が来ると、収穫が追い付かないくらい成長が進みます。

このペットボトル育ちのバジルも、この2，3週間で急成長を遂げ、毎日使わないと追いつかない。

トマトとの相性が良いので（っていうかあんまり他に思いつかない）トマトの消費量も増えてます。

ペットボトル栽培、なかなかやります。

このペットマトシリーズはほかにもトマト（商品名だし）やワイルドストロベリー、シソやルッコラ等々、いろいろあるみたいなので、そのうち別のシリーズも買ってみようかな～。。なんて思いつつ。

普通の切り花もそうだけど、家に生き物（？）があるのは気持ちがアガりますね。

家に帰って毎日その成長具合を見るのは結構な楽しみです。

I have been rasing basil plants in the prastic bottle and now they are just in the time of harvesting.

Now a few weeks past, I have been enjoying the blessings using them for everyday cooking.

These basile plants were “ready-made” plant kits to be raised in the prastic bottle.

A kit comes with seeds, soil and bed.

What I needed to prepare were only an empty bottle and water.

By setting the seeds and soil as indicated the discription, you just need to place them by the window in the sun.

I was very suspicious about this “plant kit” at first….

However, in a month or so, they will be ready to be harvested.

Very simple and easy, but you can enjoy for a long time as long as the plants are growing.

These days I have been busy eating basil everyday as they grow too much, but it is one of my pleasure to watch them grow every time I come home.
