この万華鏡専門店のある秋葉原と御徒町の高架下は、最近再開発されて、新しく2k540という名のもの作りの街としてにぎわっている（らしい）。なので、万華鏡も見つつ、その地区の散策も楽しみに行ってみました。
御徒町から秋葉原方面にいくと、しばらく場末感満載の雰囲気のお店が高架下にひしめき合っていて、ホントにそんなおしゃれな地区があるのか？と思いながら進みます。それでも我慢して進むと、いきなり、本当にいきなり、高架下に白い壁で統一された地域が表れました。外からでも楽しそうな物が置いてあるのが分かるようなお店がたくさんあって、ワクワクしながら色んなお店を物色。ほとんどのお店が、もの作り工房とショップが一体になっていて、お店に入ると店員さん（というか作っている方達）が親切に声をかけてくれる。
色んな物が置いてあるお店とお店をふわふわしながらさらに秋葉原方面へ進んでいくと、ようやく目的の万華鏡専門店を発見。
昔ながらのから、装飾のこったもの、ありとあらゆる万華鏡があった。
その中で私の知人のは、電気の知識と技術を使って、一般的な万華鏡とは見かけも仕掛けもずいぶん違う。材料も廃材を利用していたりと、いつもそのアイデアと仕事の丁寧さは素晴らしい（ああ、写真撮らなかった。。）
お店の店員さんは接客中で、お客様と万華鏡について熱く語っていた。
どの万華鏡も個性的で面白かった。万華鏡の世界は奥が深いのだな。と思った。
万華鏡屋さんも、地区も面白かった。今度はもっと時間をかけていってみたいなあ。
A friend of mine who used to be an excellent electrical engineer and helps me a lot for my electrical issues made a beautiful kaleidoscope. And it was exhibited at the store specialized in kaleidoscope, so i wen to visit the shop to see it.
I was looking forward to going to the store as it is located in one of the newly developed renovated area where many art shops and studios are.
There were many shops and studios which look interesting from outside already, so I was just excited to see each shops. There were many stores which is also a craft studio itself, so I got to talk to many artists then.
As I hopped around, I found the kaleidoscope store.
There are many interesting kaleidoscopes which is from traditional ones to the ones I have never seen before. My friend's work is also very unique in many ways. It is not what you imagine as kaleidoscope. He utilizes his knowledge and technique as an engineer and recycles many things to make art works. I always get impressed with his ideas and craftsmanship. Too bad I forgot to take pictures...
It was interesting to visit store specialized only in kaleidoscope and also the other shops.
I could not visit some of the stores, so I want to go back there and take more time to visit more shops.
