最初は銀座のギャラリーでの深井美智子さん、志乃さん親子の仕事展。
お二人とも、サルナシやヤマブドウ、アケビなど、自然素材の蔓を主に使い、金属や木などと合わせて、かごバッグや花器、アクセサリーなどを製作している。
毎年この時期に恒例で親子展をされているのだけど、毎回毎回、新しい作品を展示している。お母様の美智子さんは木の自然な色や素材感を全面に出した作品で、志乃さんは素材をカラフルに色づけしたり、金属と合わせたモダンなデザインの作品を得意としていて、似た素材、手法を使っていても二人の個性が出ていて面白い。
次は原宿に移動。久しぶりの原宿。さっきまで居た銀座とは明らかに雰囲気が違う。
Creative hub 131にアトリエを構えるユウマ君が展開するブランド、nusumigui の個展。ふんわりとした色使いとなんとも言えないかわいい洋服やぬいぐるみを作ってます。展示会は原宿の裏通りの一角にある一軒家ギャラリー、Rocket。会場外には洋服が飾ってあり、中に入ると、小屋のようなキッチンスペースでは食事や飲物をサービスしていて、誰かのお家に入ったような感じ。吹き抜けの高い天井を見ながらロフトにあがると、巨大サイズのチーズやコンセント。さらに先に進んでカーテンを開けて小部屋に入ると巨人の足が。
しばらくすると、カチャカチャと、食器の合わさる音や何かを食べてる音が頭上から聞こえてくる。そこでようやく自分がこの巨大な足の持ち主が食事をしているテーブルの下に居るのだと気づいた。
このカチャカチャという音。聞いてるとなんだかとっても幸せな気分になる。
誰かの家の（巨人？）テーブルの下に隠れて食べる姿を想像する。なんか不思議。
新作の洋服の展示はもちろんだけど、会場全体にユウマ君のふんわりとした個性と幸せ感が漂っている展示。堪能しました。

Visited 2 different shows last Friday.
One was more like a traditional "show at a gallery" by two women artists I am aquatinted with. They are mother and a daughter and they make baskets, vase, accessories and such mainly by natural materials, such as wood, vines, twigs, sometime mixed with other materials like metal.
They have a show every year around this time, and I always get impressed how much the new works they make in a year since the last show.
Though they are mother and a daughter, each of them have their own characteristics which I enjoy.
The second show was by this young artist, Yuma. Yuma's own cloth brand, "nusumigui".
Though he mainly make cloths, bags and such for daily use, it was more like an installation using the whole space of the gallery. The gallery, Rocket in Harajuku, was very interesting space as well. It is not like traditional gallery but more like one small house. They have kitchen on the first floor, and it goes to 3rd floor with open ceiling. Yuma's cloth were hanged here and there, and as I go upstairs, I went into the tiny room divided by a curtain.
In the room what I saw was giant feet. After a while I heard clanking noise from the above. I noticed that it was a sound of someone eating meal.
Then I realized that I was not in a tiny room but under the dining table where this big man of the feet is eating.
"Hiding" under the table and listing to someone eating. It was an interesting experience that brought me back to the old times when I was a kid. The sound actually made me happy, really.
Visiting two completely different shows was very interesting. One is very much traditional and the other is very hip and new. Interesting.
