必要なのは雨と太陽３ its time for the field work

先週末、実家の畑にジャガイモをまきました。
耕した畑に、種芋を埋めるので。。。埋めました。が正確なのかな。


この種芋まき作業。本来は３月中に行なうのが理想の様ですが、３月は実家に戻ったりする時間がなかったので、4月になってしまいました。でも今年は寒い日々が続いたので、（母によれば）とりあえず大丈夫。
ジャガイモを育てるのは初挑戦ですが、なんとか母に聞きながらやってみました。


まずは酸性化した土をアルカリ性に変えるために石灰を混ぜて畑を耕します。
趣味程度なのでさほど大きくないけど、鍬一本で耕すには割と重労働。未だにちょっと腰が痛い。
そしてあらかじめ2〜３当分した種芋の切り口に石灰をまぶし、切り口を下にして土に埋めていきます。
その上に土をかけて、ひと通り作業終了。


それほど難しい事ではないのだけど、芽が出なければ話にならない。
去年から色んな野菜を育てて来たけれど、種をまいたり、苗を植えたりするたびに、「ちゃんと育ちますように」と思う。


芽がでるまで２、３週間かかるという。
次はGWに行く予定なので、その頃には芽が出ていて欲しい。

Its time to make potato.
I worked in the field to prepare potatoes.   I tried it for the first time, so I followed my mom's instruction.
Usually, this preparation should be ready in March, but I could not manage to visit garden to do so until now.   Since we had very cold March, it is still not too late (I hope...)

The procedures are simple.  
First, you put lime to the soil to cultivate the filed mixing with lime in order to make the soil alkalinized.
Then put the limed potatoes to the cultivated channels and put soil over the potatoes.
Hopefully I can expect see the sprouts come out in a few weeks.

I've been trying to make different kind of vegetables since last year, and every time I prepare making them, I really hope for their healthy grow...
I always cross my fingers for it.
