以前の職場でちょうど１０年前にアメリカに引率をした元学生達から、「遠くに行く仲間の為に記念品をプレゼントしたいので写真立てを作ってほしい。」という光栄な依頼を頂き、作った物です。
どんなデザインにしようかと考えて考えて。。
仲間からのプレゼントで思い出になる。そして唯一無二の物。
という事で、当時一緒にアメリカに行った仲間１８人（プラス引率2名）の名前をデザインにしました。
フレームなのであまり目立ちすぎない様にと思い、素材はシンプルにアルミ。
腐食という技術で名前の部分を少しだけ浮き出す様にしました。
光の加減で見えたり見えなかったりの感じは、フレームとしては目立ちすぎず、ちょうど良かったかなと思います。
作りながら、ちょうど１０年経ったんだなあと（１０周年の記念品の様になってしまった。。）、昔の写真を見ながら感慨に耽る。本当に楽しい作業でした。
一人一人と思い出があります。１０年経った今でも当時の事は良く覚えているし、１０年も過ぎた事が信じられない。。
送迎会をかねた飲み会ではたくさんの仲間が集まりました。
社会人になってそろそろ10年になる人たちもいます。みんな社会に出て、色んな事を経験して切磋琢磨しながら、逞しく頑張っています。
引率当時社会経験の少ない私の引率では不安にさせた事もたくさんあったと思うけど、こうしてたまに会ったりする事が出来るのが本当に楽しみであり、幸せです。
遠くに行く仲間も含め１８人全員がこれからも幸せに、楽しく笑顔で過ごして行ける事を、深く深く願います。
こんな素敵な機会をもらえた事、本当に嬉しい。
ステキな仲間に出会えたみんなを誇りに思うし、その一端でいさせてもらえる事、ホントにありがとう。
Made a photo frame for this girl who are about to leave for Brazil with her family.
This work was an honorable order from the group of 18 students (graduated already) which I took to the US for their English program 10 years ago in 2003. At that time, they were boys and girls of age from 18 to 22 years old and the girl leaving for Brazil is one of the member students.
One of the boys asked me if I can make something for her as a gift from the group who spent the unforgettable time in the US together.
I decided to have the names of all the 18 students (+ 2 escorting staff including me) as design for the frame.
The medium is aluminum eroded the surface leaving the names.
It was such fun to work on the frame thinking of each student. I still remember the month we spent together. I have special memory with each of them.
On the day we gave the photo frame to the girl, 13 of 18 students gathered and had a great time together.
For this past 10 years, there are many many things happened to them and they have been strongly and bravely living through this tough world.
Though it has been 10 years, I am so grad that we can see each other like this being healthy and happy overall. Also, I rally want to thank them that they still invite me for the gathering.
I cannot stop thanking them for giving such a wonderful opportunity to do the project.
It is my strong wish that their future will be full of smiles and laughters.
